It is always a good idea to put together a list of questions and concerns that you might have, so that you can go over them with your moving consultant when they come to give you an estimate.
Though it is never required, it is always a nice gesture to offer to buy the moving crew lunch, if it is within your budget. Some crews will tend to take even better care of your household goods when you do. Also if you feel that your crew did an excellent job and you can afford it, they greatly appreciate tips. Most moving crews do not make anywhere near what you might think.
If you have a very large house of furniture the movers may have to make a tailgate to put some of your outside belongings on. Don't worry if they do. Tailgates have been used for many years and I have never seen one go wrong.
